CHATTY MAN COMPETITION
Dazzling prizes are on offer as part of our efforts to encourage potential visitors to phone in and find out the latest situation at the reservoir.
The competition will run between 9.30am and 10.30am daily, from Monday 4th March 2013,
and is open to non-members only.
Please make sure you read all the competition rules below carefully before entering.
Competition Rules - Terms and Conditions:
- The caller must get more than 15 consecutive words out of the bailiff during a single phone call. The 15 words must be consecutive
and only refer to fly fishing and under no circumstances should be interrupted by the caller.
- Open to genuine fly fishers only. Hastings Fly Fishers Club members are not eligible.
- Only male fly fishers will be eligible, as females are likely to elicit a more animated response.
- Open to UK residents only, unless by prior arrangement.
- No call must last longer than 5 minutes in order to give other callers a chance to get through.
- Any enquiries or attempts at conversation regarding golf will result in immediate disqualification and may also result in the individual facing a permanent ban from visiting the reservoir.
- A transcript of the bailiff's actual words must be submitted via e-mail and Subject of the e-mail titled "les mots manquent pour dire". Attempts at any English translations will not be accepted.
- Multiple entries are to be encouraged.
- Prizes cannot be sent and must be collected in person.
- Winners will be chosen at random from all valid potential winning entries.
- Winners will be contacted via email and names will be displayed on our website.
- The Judges decision is final, but we will be happy to enter into any acrimonious correspondence.
- The competition will run from 9.30am on 4 March until further notice.
- Should someone other than the bailiff answer the telephone, you should immediately start discussing PPI.
- Although our website is compliant with the data protection act, our policy is such that we will happily pass on your details to any third party willing to pay, without your prior consent.
- In the event of a prize being refused due to insufficient id, ineligibility based on the above rules, or in the event of a prize not being collected within the allotted time limit, whatever that might be, the prize will be awarded to the bailiff.
- In the event of no one being successful in winning, the prizes will be awarded to the bailiff.
- Calls from landlines will be charged at your normal rate, mobiles may cost more. Please check before calling and make sure you ask the bill payers permission
before using the phone.
