THE CLUB HUT

The Powdermill Club Hut is located next to the car park at the top of the reservoir, overlooking the dam and the lake. It is an old building with a lot of character and most club members are fond of its 'dated' look and constantly resist attempts to modernise it!

We have recently added an combined Air-Con/Heater fr the warm days of Summer and chilly Winter mornings!

The Club Hut consists of three rooms and a toilet.

On entering through the outer door, the toilet is immediately in front of you.

To the left is the club room / rest room which has a wood burner and seating. There are tea and coffee making facilities available in the Club Office.

To the right is the office / reception. The office is open each day from 8.30am to 12 o’clock for all enquires, ticket and membership enquiries. There is a small tackle sales area, where there are a number of pre-owned rods, reels, flies and assorted tackle and equipment for sale.

There is a telephone in the Club Office for emergency calls and free Guest Wi-fi.

The Club does have registered Anglers Trust Coaches who offer tuition, especially with casting. We have many Members who would be happy to assist with additional advice and tuition for beginners. This can be arranged, in advance, with the bailiff (Vic Partridge).

Outside, overlooking the reservoir there are picnic tables and a large seating area.

Powdermill has ramps, paths and a toilet suitable for wheelchair users together with a specially constructed "Wheely" boat with a motor for disabled anglers.
